’Ranga Habba-4’ February 22 to 28

Udupi :  Speaking to the media, Sumanasa Kodavur Honorary President M S Bhat said the week-long festival ’Ranga Habba-4’ will be inaugurated by Kannada and Culture department Director K A Dayanand and MLA Pramodh Madhwaraj will preside over the function. Urban Development Minister Vinay Kumar Sorake will preside over the valedictory ceremony.

Sumanasa Kodavur, in association with Kannada and Culture department, Bengaluru, is organising ’Ranga Habba-4’ theatre festival at Open Air Theater at Bhujanga Park in Ajjarakadu from February 22 to 28.

The plays on the occasion include ’Macbeth’ by Viddhu Ucchila, ’Gunamukha’ by Santhosh Nayak Patla, ’Gangammajji Gantu’ by C T Brahmavar, ’Chakravyuha’ by Bannanje Sanjeev Suvarna, ’Anabhijna Shakuntala’, by Paraksh Shetty, ’Akku’ by Champa Shetty and ’Darashiko’ by Chethan Tumkur. Around Rs 7 lakh would be the total cost of expenditure for the festival, he added.

Sumanasa Kodavur has won 16 times at the State-level theatre competitions and two times in national-level competitions.
