Mangaluru, Oct 7,2017: The power house of homeopathy in the region Fr.Muller’s convention centre brought alive the enthusiasm of Homeopaths from all over the country at the 2 day Homeopathic Conference in the city "VENTURA 2017", the 22nd annual edition, which was inaugurated on October 6, Friday. The who’s-who from the world of Homeopathy could be seen at the event which is geared up to focus on "New avenues in Homeopathy". The participants are highly motivated to bring up this unique medical system to benefit the wellness of the world.
Prof K Umamaheshwar Rao, director of National Institute of Technology, Suratkal. as chief guest of the programme gave a new direction to the meet; Dr Shrikanth B Konkani, principal, Bharatesh Homoeopathic Medical College, Belagavi, member of Central Council Homoeopathy, New Delhi, was the guest of honour. Fr Richard A Coelho, director of Father Muller Charitable Institutions, presided over the inaugural.Fr Vincent Saldanha- Administrator, FMHMCH; Dr Shivaprasad- Principal, FMHMCH; and Dr Jyoshna Shivaprasad- Organizing secretary of the Conference were on the dais.
Dr Rao, addressing the conference said, "Delegates, who attend national level seminars, attend them only with the intention of an entertainment, but in ‘Ventura 17’ all will stand out and it will really be a constructive serious effort. Technology is rapidly advanced. Science has reached great heights. Medical science has to evolve a lot more."
“People are in a hurry, impatient, do not have time everything has to be super fast. Homeopaths should work and think out of the box, they should fill their patients with confidence. The patient will automatically be cured 50 per cent of his illness if a positive feel can be created and Homeopathy can meet challenges. We Indians are pioneers of Nano technology. Homeopaths and researchers must be inspired and work to convert homeopathy into a quick and effective means."
Dr Shrikanth speaking impressed that Homeopathy came about to be a solace to the needs of the society. It is growing in India and all around the world. In the past 2 decades or so more people are aware and using it, it has radly gained to be the main alternative. Graduates and doctors should take this as a challenge. There is a need for more and better research, from personal experience, 75 per cent healing of diseases takes place due to the confidence of patient. ”
In his presidential address which was carefully followed by the audience, Director Fr. Richard Coelho said, "Let your light shine", at this seminar, each of you must pledge to hold high your light, hold it high so all can see and all can know. The Bible narrates how when a lamp is lit it is placed high on a stand, so it’s light will spread further and illuminate large area for more people to benefit, VENTURA 2017 is a light, let it be held up and let it shine forth for the good of the Homeopathic world to learn and know; you do your best, contribute your knowledge and excel.....
Here in 1878, Fr.Augustus Muller SJ, a German Missionary well versed in the German Homeopathic science set it up as a boon to all classes of local people who had no medical facilities, he took this medical solace to greater heights with special formulations still respected. As Hippocrates said, ’Extreme remedies , very appropriate for extreme diseases", is very relevant right now, with practically 14 decades of ’caring and healing’. Cicero says, " In nothing do men nearly approach the Gods, than in giving health to men.".......how true and that is what you are striving to take forward, to take to higher services......you will all be blessed and strengthened for your skills and services in the times to come....because it is close to the power of GOD."
Many eminent homeopaths will speak on needed topics, discussions will be held over two days and the Conference is set to end today, Oct 7, evening.
Dr Shrikanth B Konkani, was felicitated. The souvenir of the conference was released by the chief guest and guest of honor. Dr. The programme ended with the institution anthem.
