1 dead, several injured in KSRTC bus collision

Bantwal, June 22, 2012 : One person died and several others sustained injuries when two KSRTC buses had a head-on collision on NH75 at Kudrebettu near Kalladka on June 22, Friday.

The police say that the deceased is Govind Raj (20) of Hunsur in Mysore. Three of  the injured passengers are in a critical condition.

The driver of the KSRTC express bus from BC Road to Puttur lost control while taking a curve and dashed into a bus plying from Madikeri to Mangalore. The front portions of both buses are completely damaged.

A total of 15 injured passengers have been admitted to several hospitals in BC Road and Mangalore.
