1 killed, 5 injured in bus-lorry collision near Kudupu

Mangalore, Aug 12, 2013: One person was killed and five others sustained injuries in a  road accident involving a bus and a lorry near Kudupu on August 12, Monday.

The lorry carrying chicken and heading towards Mangalore from Agumbe collided head on with the bus killing one Afroz (23) a resident of Bajal.  Five others who were in the lorry and bus were injured in the mishap.
 
The lorry driver Abdul Latif from Bajal and  Noorulla (17) who sustained serious injuries have been admitted to the hospital.

Traffic on the route was disrupted for over an hour following the mishap. Kankanady police have registered a case.
