Mangalore, June 2, 2012: A 20-year-old girl died in a road accident at Suratkal on June 2, Saturday. The deceased Rajashri is the daughter of Janu Nayak of Maniyampare in Perla, Kasargod. She was riding her Activa scooter when a private bus hit her. One of her friends, who was riding pillion with her, escaped without injuries.

Rajashri was studying in an engineering college in Mukka and was staying in the hostel.

Her sister got married in Perla on May 28, and on June 2, she was going to her village to attend the reception. She was on her way to the railway station when the bus hit her scooter.

Rajashri’s body has been taken to AJ Hospital and her family members have come to Mangalore.

The Suratkal police have registered a case and are now hunting for the bus driver.
