20th anniversary of ’Suhasam’ on Mar 27,Sunday

Udupi, Mar 25, 2016:  Addressing media, H. Gopala Bhatta, writer and secretary of the Suhasam Literary Organisation , said in the last 20 years, Suhasam has facilitated the release of 205 Kannada books. In fact, one time 15 books were released at one function organised by them. 

Suhasam Literary Organisation is set to hold its 20th anniversary celebrations at Pawan Rooftop, Hotel Kediyoor complex, here on March 27, Sunday. Over the past two years, the organisation has been devoted to the cause of popularising Kannada books — both fiction and non-fiction — and has held many a humour show and cultural programme.
At the 20th anniversary celebrations, a book titled “Davavittu Muchchabedi Raste Gundigalanu”, written by H. Shantharaj Aithal, will be released by Ganesh Karnik, MLC. M. Mohan Alva, president of Alva’s Education Foundation, will launch the anniversary celebrations.

B. Mahabaleshwar Rao, writer; Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, president of the Dakshina Kannada District Kannada Sahitya Parishath; Neelavar Surendra Adiga, president of the Udupi District Kannada Sahitya Parishath; and Srishti Nagesh, publisher, will participate in the event.
