3 injured when lorry plunges into ravine

Mangalore, April 24:  A lorry, loaded with liquor, fell into a ravine owing to brake failure at Maroli on April 22, Thursday, at 6:30 p.m. Three people sustained injuries.


The lorry was carrying tins of Kingfisher from Baikampady to Bangalore. The three who sustained injuries, including the driver of the vehicle, jumped out just before the vehicle plunged into the ravine. 


Police officials estimate the loss to be around Rs 2.5 lakhs. A case has been registered at the Kadri police station.
