3 men arrested at rented house in Thare Thota

Mangalore, May 20, 2012: A group of local people, members of the Hindu Jagarana Vedike, and police officers raided a rented house in Thare Thota, Nanthoor on May 18, Friday, at midnight and found four people in a semi-nude condition. 

The 3 young men and the woman were from Udupi. The woman had rented the house and the men used to visit her often. 

The woman was sent to Prajna Counselling Centre in Jeppinamogaru, Mangalore and the men were taken to the Kankanady Police Station for interrogation. 

The police registered a case against them and sent them to the tahsildar’s office where they were let off with a warning. 

SI Mani Swami and other police officers from Kankanady Police Station conducted the raid.
