5 get bail in double murder case

Udupi, Nov 06 2019:  Five persons, who were arrested nine months ago for their role in the murder of Yathish Kanchan and Bharath in Manoor near Kota in January this year, have been released on bail. The bail was granted by Additional District and Sessions Court Judge Narahari Marathe in Kundapur.

They are Santhosh Kunder, Mohammed Taufiq, police personnel Veerendra Acharya, Pavan Ameen and Pranav Rao. The murder case came to be known as ‘Kota double murder case’, and 18 persons were arrested. The High Court had granted bail to accused Raghavendra Kanchan and Ritish M Karkera in July itself. In all, 7 persons have been released on bail so far.
