A S Bhat becomes MD of Campco

Mangalore, Apr 2: A S Bhat, the executive director of the Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative (Campco) Ltd, has been promoted to the post of managing director of the organization. 

He succeeds P Madhusudhan Rao, the first non-governmental director of Campco, who retired after rendering 34 years of fruitful service. 

The assisstant general manager of Campco issued a press release on Thursday, which states that Bhat joined the company in 1974, was promoted to the post of executive director, before being elevated to the post of managing director. 

Bhat has 36 years of experience to his credit, and knows all there is to know about arecanut marketing. A native of Kattukukke in Kasargod, Bhat currently resides in Kalladka. He is also associated with religious institutions in Kasargod.
