Accommodation will be arranged for Hajj pilgrims – M. M. Ahmed

Mangalore, Aug 29, 2012 : M. M. Ahmed, newly elected president of the Karnataka Hajj Committee, said that accommodation will be arranged for Hajj pilgrims arriving from Hassan and Chikmagalur in the cargo terminal of Mangalore Airport.

He was addressing reporters after visiting Syed Madani Dargah in Ullal for his prayers on Tuesday.

Further, he said that each Hajj pilgrim is permitted to carry as much as 22kgs luggage in two travel bags and as much as 10kgs in handbags.

A total of 1200 pilgrims will be leaving from Mangalore, he said, adding that the first batch will leave on September 17.

Usman, president of the DK Wakf Advisory Committee, and A. R. Fazal Asaigoli, president of the BJP Minority Morcha, Mangalore unit, were also present.
