Mangalore, June 1, 2014: A new traffic police station will start functioning from May 3, at Suratkal. It is to be inaugurated by district minister-in-charge B Ramanath Rai in the presence of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel.  Mangalore north MLA Mohiuddin Bava is set to  preside over the inaugural function. All matters concerning traffic of Kavoor, Panambur, Suratkal and Mulki will be under its jurisdiction.

Initially, two cops will man this station. Later  a full-fledged force will be appointed, said police sources.
