Mangaluru: As per reports, 20 members from International Round table on an adventurous study tour from Thiruvananthapuram to Panaji, reached Mangaluru on April 9. They are mainly from US, UK, Holland, Portugal, Canada and Australia, they journeyed in autorickshaws starting at Thiruvananthapuram on April 5.
Mangalore Round Table Chairman Naveen Cardoza, Secretary Kenneth Serrao and others welcomed the visitors. They also met schoolchildren and teachers to study traditions, culture, living practices and School curricula as a part of their community service ’freedom through education’.
The visitors revealed that they enjoyed their visit to Mangaluru and the main purpose of travel to India was tourism, charity, community service with adventure an incentive. They are travelling in 8 autorickshaws on to Goa. The programme was organised by International Round Table club in association with International Rickshaw Challenge Association of Thiruvanthapuram it is stated.
