Animal peddlers nabbed, live turtles and snakes confiscated

Mangalore, Feb 3: The Kavoor police arrested 2 animal peddlers and confiscated 3 poisonous snakes and 3 turtles, all alive. The arrested are Dinakar and Vishwanath Pandit of Sullia. They were making attempts to sell the creatures. 

Currently, the offenders are booked under the Wildlife Act; and the animals are in the care of Pilikula Nisarga Dhama. 









Chandragiri Suresh, the police head constable, informed press people that the two have been wanted for a long time for violation of the Wildlife Act; and finally, the police have been successful in nabbing them.
