Annual fair begins at Kollur temple

Kollur, March 19, 2014: Special rituals marked the beginning of the annul fair at Kollur Mookambika  Temple in Kundapur  taluk on Monday, March 17.

The religious rituals started with Ganapathi  Pooja  early morning, under the guidance of Temple Priest Manjunath Adiga. The lion-emblem  flag was mounted at 10am, to mark the beginning of the annual fair. Devotional songs were sung and classical dance was performed by troupes. The city procession Goddess was taken accompanied by sacred chants. Katte Uthsava, Yakshagana and Mayurarohanothsava were held at evening.
