Another ’Moral police’ assault case in city

Mangalore, July 26, 2014 :  As per reports,  the police have arrested two persons in connection with a case of moral policing, members of a Hindu organisation assaulted a youth belonging to Muslim community for moving with a girl from another community.

The accused are stated to be  Nithin (21) and Naveen (22) of Kasargod. It was said that Umar Farooq of Uppala was talking with a girl from other community in the bus while travelling from Kasargod to Mangalore. The accused followed the duo and assaulted the boy near Sharavu temple. A case under IPC Section 307 (attempt to murder) has been registered it was stated.
