An army recruitment rally is being held in Gadag for the last 3 days. Col T K Singh, the director of Army Recruitment (Belgaum) told reporters on Sunday that more than 44,000 aspirants have appeared for the rally.
Singh informed reporters that about 30 percent of them would pass the medical and the physical tests. Later, they will be required to take the written test to be conducted in Belgaum on October 29.
Mr. Singh said that the hiring process is impartial and that there was no room for malpractice. The officials, deployed from various recruitment offices, are duty bound to ensure that only eligible candidates and chosen.
Col C R Deshpande, Army Recruitment (Mangalore) said the rally has attracted an impressive response, owing to which they would get the best candidates. He expressed his gratitude to the district administration and the police for staunchly supporting the 6-day rally.
Lieutenant Col Vincent D’Souza advised candidates to give great important to learning English and Hindi.
