BJP Mahila Morcha to mark ’Women’s Day’

Udupi, Mar 8, 2015 :  Briefing media, BJP Mahila Morcha leader Sheela K Shetty said Mahila Morcha is organising World Women’s Day at Kadiyali Mahisha Mardini Temple on March 8.   The programme was being organised to mark women’s strength and their force to contest polls in the forthcoming panchayat polls.

As many as 1,000 women from places such as  Kaup, Udupi rural and Udupi urban, Karkala, Byndoor and Kundapura would take part .The programme would be inaugurated by Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Shobha Karandlaje.  Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa would be the chief guest, she said.

She said the conference would urge the government to announce 50 per cent reservation for women in panchayat elections.
