Mangalore, May 17: M. Venkaiah Naidu, senior leader of the BJP, said that the Shri Rama Sene (SRS) has had a negative impact on the BJP because of the unwanted publicity that surrounds it and because of the wrong information circulated. He was reacting to the sting operation that allegedly captured the SRS chief Pramod Muthalik and his men accepting money to generate a communal riot.
Naidu informed reporters that the BJP does not approve of the SRS’s methods and that the law will take its own course. He stated that RSS and BJP are not associated with the SRS and that the BJP has no sympathy for the SRS.
However, Chief Minister B. S. Yeddyurappa has refused to ban the Shri Rama Sene founded by Pramod Muthalik.
