BJP sets up NaMo tea stall

Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, Feb 2, 2014: Taking a dig at Congress leader Mani Shanker Aiyer’s jibe at BJP’s prime ministerial candidate M. Narendra Modi’s tea seller days, the BJP has started a NaMo Tea Stall near BJP office in city on Saturday.

Mr. Aiyer’s statement that Mr. Modi could serve tea at the AICC meet triggered a furore among BJP workers that culminated in the Chai pe charcha (a discussion over tea) programme.

Workers said this was the first such tea stall – a symbolic stall that sells tea at Rs. 1 and is accompanied by videos of Mr. Modi’s campaign in the city.
