Biography on Eric Ozario released

Mangalore, May 19, 2014: On the 65th birthday of music-composer, Konkani activist and Gurukar of Konkani cultural organisation Mandd Sobhann, Eric Ozario here on Sunday, the community showed its appreciation by releasing his biography in English.

The 318-page ‘Eric Ozario - The Indefatigable Crusader’, authored by Royston Fernandes, was released at Kalaangann as a tribute for Mr. Ozario’s contribution to the Konkani language.

Mr. Fernandes lamented that though numerous Konkani personalities were recognised in the national-level, there was little attention shown to them by the community itself. “This is a step to identify one of the leaders of the Konakni community,” he said.

Proceeds from the sales of the Rs. 499 book during the event was donated to the Jagotik Konknni Songhotton (Global Konkani Organization).
