Bantwal, May 12: Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza of Mangalore diocese inaugurated the newly-built presbytery at St Patrick’s parish, Siddakatte, near here a few days ago.  It was inaugurated during Bishop’s pastoral visit to the parish, in order to solemnize Sacrament of Confirmation to the parishioners’ children.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Former state minister and MLA Ramanath Rai and zilla panchayat president Santhosh Kumar Bhandary were the guests of honour of the occasion.

Bishop Dr Aloysius felicitated presbytery building committee president Gerald D’Costa, donors and contractor including workmen during the programme.

Moodbidri deanery vicar Fr Austin Peter Peris, taluk panchayat member Ratnakumar Chowta were present at the dais.

 

Siddakatte parish priest Fr Valerian M D’Souza, thanked each parishioner for their support including Michael D’Costa and Sunil Sequeira in building work.

 

Siddakatte parish council vice president Ronald Fernandes welcomed the gathering.  Michael D’Costa proposed vote of thanks.  Sunil Sequeira compered the programmme, which was followed by fellowship of sharing food.
