Blood-stained pug marks panic Moodugopadi villagers

Mangalore Today News Network

Kundapur, July 11, 2014 :  The entire village of Moodugopadi  was shocked and panic-stricken on July 10, Thursday when blood-stained pug marks of some animal were seen on the ground at several places.

Most people noticed the foot prints early in the morning and soon news spread that such blood stained foot prints were seen all along  on the roads linking Ashoknagar and Vakvady and also in front of some houses.

The pug marks were also seen in front of the house of Jamedar Asia Shamshuddin and also in his fields. Villagers say the blood stained foot prints were  seen upto a distance of nearly one km  right near a forest area.

The suspicion of the villagers is that it might be the pug park of a big cheetah which was reportedly spotted in the area a couple of months ago. Another suspicion is that some wild animal might have pounced on some dog or  calf and  dragged it all the way.

The locals who are panic-stricken want the forest department officials to look into the matter.
