Body of woman found at Charmady Ghat yet to be identified

Belthangady :  The body of a woman which was found on the 11th curve of Charmady Ghat on August 21, Sunday has not yet been identified.  The age of the woman is  said to be around 30 to 35 and there was a tattoo  with the name Priya on her left hand while there was a old burn mark on her right  hand.

The suspicion is that the woman was  murdered somewhere else and dumped in Charmady Ghat.  The marks on the neck of the woman have revealed that the woman might have been strangled  using a rope.  Police are yet to gather any clue regarding the killers or the motive behind the murder.

The body of the woman was traced in a  gorge which was nearly 80 feet deep and the police had a tough time in bringing the body up.  At the outset the woman seems to be from the coastal district  and  was  wearing  nose pin, ear ring and anklets. She was found wearing a pink colour chudidar and a black pant.
