Bola Chittaranjan Das memorial programme, August 6 Sunday

Mangaluru, Aug 04, 2017:  ’Bola Smritiyana’, a programme in commemoration of writer Bola Chittaranjan Das Shetty, is set to be held at SDM Law College, MG Road in the city, at 2 pm, on August 6 Sunday .

Writer Chandrashekar Shetty said, "The programme is organised by the family members of the late writer to mark his first death anniversary, under the aegis of Nagashakti Publications. His last work ’Mathru Dharma Aliya Santhana’ will be released in the programme."

Shetty said the commemorative event will begin at 2 pm with ’Boladorudu Amar Beerer’, a Tulu Yakshagana performance based on the late writer’s last work, followed by an interaction on ’Man and the Work’. A Tulu dance ballet ’Satyanapurota Siri’ will also be performed by the artistes of Sanatana Natyalaya, Mangaluru, followed by the release of the writer’s last work.

Former VC of Hampi Kannada University B A Viveka Rai who has penned foreword for the book, will release the book.  Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodbidri, will preside. Yakshagana scholar Dr M Prabhakar Joshi will speak on Bola Chittaranjan Das.

President of Buntara Yaane Nadavara Matr Sangha Ajit Kumar Rai Malady, president of International Bunts Welfare Trust A Sadananda Shetty, Vaman Nandavar, former chairman of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, president of Zilla Kannada Sahitya Parishat Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, former MLA K Jayaram Shetty and Chittaranjan from Sri Brahma Bydarkala Garadi Kshetra, Kankanady, will be the guests.
