Udupi, August 23, 2012: Deputy Commissioner M.T.Reju on Wednesday met a team of doctors and trustees from Charmakki Narayana Shetty Lions (CNSL) to discuss the issue of eight people developing infection in their eyes after the cataract surgery conducted in the hospital form August 1st to 3rd.

“We have asked the hospital to extend financial support to the 2 patients who had lost their eye sight after the surgery. However the team has already waived the medical expenses to the other six patients who received further treatments after their surgery”, said M.T Reju to the media here.

He further adds that there was technically no sold evidence against the hospital of their negligence in this regard.
