Uppinangady,  June 24, 2015 : CPI(M) Kokkada,   members with  GP election winners and others carried out road repair works voluntarily, at Kokkada-Patrame, stone slabs were placed on the dilapidated road to make  movement of vehicles better. It was a gesture to thank voters for supporting them in GP elections.

 Belthangady taluk CPI(M) unit Secretary B M Bhat inaugurated the ’shramdhan’ and  said that many pleas submitted towards the repair of the road, had gone to the waste basket.  The candidates supported by the party have won in both Gram Panchayats, Kokkada and Patrame.   Winning candidates Shyamaraj Patrame, Sheelavathi and Malathi said it was their duty to carry out social programmes.
