June 08, 2016: Sources state that a  charred body of a man was found at his residence near Kannika Paramweshwari Temple, Kandlur on June 6, Monday evening. The deceased was identified as Srinivas Magaveera (58). It is suspected that he might have committed suicide. However, the reason for taking the extreme step is not yet known.

Sources say that Srinivas was employed in a hotel at Bengaluru and used to often visit his native place. It was learnt that he had returned from Bengaluru about six months ago and was staying with his sister.
His sister went to Kundapur on June 6, Monday and when she returned she found her brother’s body. It is said that he might have taken the extreme step due to stress. He is survived by his wife and two children.

The body was sent to a hospital in Kundapur for the post-mortem. A case has been registered.
