Coast Guard unit including M’luru team joins in relief efforts of Temple fire disaster

Mangaluru, Apr 11, 2016: The  Indian Coast Guard district headquarters number 4, Mangaluru unit too has responded in right earnestness to the incident that occurred in the wee hours of Apr 10,  Sunday at Puttingal Temple, Kollam. The Coast Guard District HQ No 4 at Kochi in coordination with the district administration immediately responded with assistance.

The Coast Guard Disaster Management team was activated at Kochi and Vizhinjam. The situation was carefully monitored and assistance rendered for saving precious lives. Indian Coast Guard Inceptor Boat C-427 and Interceptor Craft from Vizhinjam harbour was instantaneously sailed out with maximum Coast Guard personnel and entered Thangacherry harbour (Kollam District) for rendering assistance and support to district administration.
