Mangaluru, Sep 13, 2016: It is reliably reported that Harish Bhat, member, Group Executive Council of Tata Sons, said here on Sept 12, Monday that competitive examinations have become an integral part of life and youngsters have to face them courageously. Speaking at the inauguration of the TCS Online Examination Centre at the Women’s National Education Society’s campus in Bondel he gave the example of the badminton silver medallist at the Rio Olympics, P.V. Sindhu, and how she faced the challenges. “Her quarter final, semi-final and final matches were her examinations,” he said.
“She had to appear for those exams one day after another. Because of her confidence, self-belief, and extensive preparation under her coach, P Gopichand, she could emerge a champion, Bhat said, and added that she won the silver medal at Rio because of her absolute focus on every single match and every single shot she played. He said that competitive examinations held the keys to the doors to the future.

Stating that confidence is the most important factor for succeeding in examinations, he said confidence came from self-belief in one’s capabilities.
“Examinations can be tackled with a combination of skills. To perform well in them, the candidate requires speed, accuracy, prior knowledge of the subject, vocabulary and critical reasoning, among others. It is essential to develop confidence around these skills. Preparation is essential to develop confidence, he said.
