Mangalore, May 25: The Konkani Cultural Organization (KCO) of Abu Dhabi in collaboration with Samanvaya Mangalore organized a seminar titled “Building Corruption Free Personality” at Samanvaya Conference Hall, Urwastores on May 23 for the recipients of its scholarships.
Rev. Dr. Pius Fidelis Pinto, the managing trustee of Samanvaya, inaugurated the event and presided over it. He advised the students to develop values and build a corruption free society.
Mr. David Lobo, extension worker of CODP, and Mrs. Sushma Priyadarshini D’Souza, teacher at Alvas Dance College, were the chief guests of the programme.
Rev. Dr. Ronald Cutinha, the director of Samanvaya, spoke about corruption in India and gave many PowerPoint presentations. He also explained the various types of corruptions and ways to solve the problems of corruption. A few students provided feedback on the conference.
Fr. Cutinha gave the welcome and introductory speeches and even proposed the vote of thanks. Vinisha Mendonca compered the programme.
The conference had 61 participants, who resolved to lead a corruption-free life.
