Congress victorious in bypolls in Bantwal, Moodbidri

Bantwal,Mar 6, 2014 : The Congress won five of the six seats  in the by-election held for gram panchayats in Bantwal. The victorious candidates are Narayana, Vrindakshi from Kariangala, Geetha  from Sarapady, Apoline Pinto from Kadeshwalya and Mohini Shivaram from Vittalpadnur. The BJP candidate Ganesh Aithal won from Manchi.

The Congress workers celebrated their win by bursting crackers.

Moodbidri : In the by-election for Mariyadi I ward in Moodbidri TMC held on March 2,   Congress candidate Rajesh Kotekar won by a margin of 156 votes. The result was announced on March 5, Wednesday. The seat had fallen vacant following the demise of Congress candidate  Shivaraj  Rai.
