Corporation Bank Officer’s Organisation triennial conference, January 24-26

Mangaluru, Jan 23, 2016: As per reports, a three-day 20th triennial conference of Corporation Bank Officers’ Organisation will be held from  January 24 at Dr T M A Pai International Convention Centre here.

This will be 7th meet in Mangaluru, last was held in Chennai in January 2013. Following democratic traditions, CBOO meets once in every three years in its All India General Body to review its last three years’ course, formulate the future activities and to constitute the new governing body - the executive committee.

Professor Emeritus JNU  Jawaharlal Nehru University New Delhi ,  Prabhat Patnaik,  will inaugurate the conference. An eminent economist, Patnaik was one of the members of the independent commission for banking policies, constituted by AIBOC in 2006 to suggest the alternative views to make the banking more effective strong and growth driven.  He was vice-chairman of the planning board of Kerala.

Y Sudarshan, president of AIBOC and general secretary of AISBOF will address the gathering as a guest of honour. General Secretary of CBOO Ekanath Baliga and vice-president G Raghuraman will also address the conference.
