DK Working Journalists’ Union invites entries for essay, short film contest

Mangaluru, June 11, 2019: Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Union has  organised an essay writing  contest and  short film  contest  for degree and journalism students on account of the District Journalists’ Conference to be held on July 1. The topic for the contest is  Yuva Shakti or The Power of Youth.  Students  of colleges  from the district  can participate.

The essay must be written either in Kannada or English  on an A-4 sheet and should not exceed three pages. Along with the original, three xerox copies should also be attached with due attestation from the  Heads of their colleges.

The short films sent  for the contest should not exceed three minutes. A contestant can send a maximum of three films either in CD or pen drive  that can be handed over at the DK District Working Journalists’ Union Office.

The last date for submitting entries is June 20. Entries must be sent to The President, DK District Working Journalists’ Union, Patrika Bhavan, Ladyhill, Urva Market road, Mangaluru-575006, says a press communique from Ibrahim Adkasthala,  General Secretary of the Union.
