Dharmasthala: Elderly brother and sister pair found murdered in house

Dharmasthala, Sept. 21, 2012: An elderly brother-and-sister duo was found murdered in their house near KSRTC Bus Stand in Dharmasthala on the night of September 20, Thursday, allegedly for money and ornaments.

The victims Narayana (61) and Yamuna (45) were poor and Narayana was mentally ill. Yamuna, who is also mentally ill, used to work at construction sites.

Their dead bodies were discovered by the local people who alerted the police. The murderers had killed them by bashing their heads with a heavy object.

The Belthangady police are currently investigating the case.
