Udupi, Nov 04 2019: A five-day digital photo exhibition on life and achievements of Mahatma Gandhi, to commemorate his 150th birth anniversary, will be held in Manipal from November 4, Speaking to media Thukarama Gowda, field publicity officer, Field Outreach Bureau of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said. Then Gowda said the exhibition was being organised by the ministry in association with Gandhian Centre for Philosophical Arts and Sciences (GCPAS)-MAHE.
In the exhibition, an immersive virtual walk with Gandhi through 6D technology has been arranged for the visitors to retrace his greatest ideology and to follow his footsteps. Through this walk, the visitors can experience the feeling of walking with Mahatma Gandhi in ‘Dandi March’, he added.
Gowda said this time MAHE had been provided an opportunity to organise the exhibition in Karnataka. This apart, 26 similar programmes are being organised across the nation during this time.
In order to ensure that message about Gandhi reaches the younger generation, the DDPI has been requested to send a circular to all the schools in the district so that more students can participate in the exhibition, from 10 am to 6 pm.
Cultural programmes will be organised on all the days from November 4 to November 8.
Udupi-Chikmagalur MP Shobha Karandlaje will inaugurate the exhibition at KMC Greens on November 4 at 11 am. The exhibition will be held at the same venue and is open to public.
