District administration makes arrangements for PU examinations

Mangalore, March18: The district administration has taken all the required precautionary measures to avoid any kind of malpractice during the II PUC examinations, which are scheduled to be held from March 18 - 31. 

Prohibitory orders have been imposed within a radius of 200 meters of all examination centres. All the photocopy shops within the limits of the centre have been requested to close their services during the examination. 

Squads have been constituted under the chairmanship of ZP CEO and DC at the division level. Squads have been formed under the AC at the taluk level. A grade officer has been appointed as the nodal officer for groups of 3 - 4 examination centres. The public is free to contact the PU Board at 9845097753 or 1077 in case of any problems related to the examinations. 

There are 45 PUC examination centres in the district with about 29,168 students answering the examinations. 23,439 of these are regular students, 2,301 are repeaters, and 3,428 and answering privately.
