Doctors of Unity hospital succeeded to help Nigerian citizen in curing ailment

Mangalore, April 20: Dr Sachidananda Rai, Dr Dinesh Kadam, Dr Suresh Bhat, Dr Sanjay Shahri and Dr Mohd Ismail, doctors of Unity hospital, have succeeded to cure an ailment of a  Nigerian citizen, Evelyn Omoruddin, who was unable to move without the help of others.

Evelyn Omoruddin was suffering from Non Union of Right Femur & Left tibia for the last ten years. She had an RTA in 2000 and sustained fracture femur (R) and fracture tibia (L) & Fibula (L). She has consulted several doctors in Nigeria and undergone several operations. But there was no good outcome.


It was Benedict, her colleague, who directed Evelyn about a treatment in Unity Hospital. Earlier, Benedict had undergone shoulder replacement surgery for his shoulder problem in Unity Hospital. After getting an advice from her colleague, she has approached the doctors of Unity Hospiatal.


A surgical team of Unity Hospital comprising, Dr Sachidananda Rai, Dr Dinesh Kadam, Dr Suresh Bhat, Dr Sanjay Shahri and Dr Mohd Ismail have planned for a plating and Vascularised Febular Graft for the Femural Non Union and Inter Locking Nailing for tibial non union.


The Doctors of Unity hospital said that, we saw certain changes in Evelyn, after six weeks of surgery. Now she was able to walk with the help of crutches.
