Engineering student from Kannur, Kerala, drowned in Pavoor

Mangalore, June 16, 2014:  According to the police, Sourabh (19), a student of Srinivasa Engineering College who hailed from Kannur in Kerala, and three of his classmates came in a coracle to Pavoor. All the four ventured into the waters for a bath. Sourabh was caught in the currents and was unable to come out. His friends, who swam to the shore, called for the help of local swimmers, who fished out Sourabh’s body around 5 p.m.
