Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, Nov 14: Justice B K Somashekara Enquiry Commission, which has already listened to the deposition of 638 witnesses, now has only 126 cases to examine. The Justice said that the interim report is almost ready and is currently being fine tuned and that it will soon be submitted to the state government.

The enquiry commission, appointed to discover the truth behind the church attacks of Sept 14, has collected evidence in 6 volumes and several CDs. The commission still has to collect evidence from certain areas, including Mangalore.

In response to a query by B Ibrahim, the advocate for the minorities, the Justice said that the commission’s findings are primarily on “who was responsible for the attacks and what caused them.”
