Aug 24, 2017: It is informd that Yenepoya Foundation, Mangaluru, has invited applications from students who have performed well in SSLC, PUC and degree exams for its ‘Academic Excellence Awards-2017’, on or before September 15.
The foundation, a unit of Yenepoya Moideen Kunhi Memorial Educational and Charitable Trust, in association with Yenepoya University, offers awards to students of all recognised institutions in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasaragod districts who have completed their course in 2016-17. A release from the foundation said a few awards are common for all while some are meant for Muslim minority students.
Those who have scored 90% and above in SSLC or PUC, 80% and above in degree courses such as B. Com, B. Sc, B. CA, and B. BM, and 70% in B.A, B. Ed and Afzal-Ulema examinations are eligible to apply. Applications may be sent in plain paper with a passport size photograph attached alongside an attested copy of mark list. The medium of instruction should be indicated along with contact details of the student and his or her institution.
The foundation will also offer cash awards to Muslim institutions in the three districts that registered 100% result in SSLC, PUC and degree courses, with a minimum of 50 students for SSLC and 50 for each stream in PUC and degree courses. Institutions may apply with their result details certified by the principal.
Applications may be sent by September 15 to the Secretary, Academic Excellence Awards Committee, Yenepoya University, Deralakatte, Mangaluru. The envelope should be superscribed with the words ‘Application for Academic Excellency Awards – 2017’.
