Fishing boat worker killed in old port accident

Mangaluru, Feb 27, 2016: Harish  30 yrs, hailing from Andhra Pradesh, lost his life after he sustained severe injuries while working on a fishing boat at Mangaluru Fisheries Port (Bundar).

Harish was employed as a cleaner of the boat. It is said that on Feb 25,Thursday, as he was tying the boat with a thick rope, the rope snapped and hit him in the chest with force. He was admitted to a hospital with severe injuries but succumbed. His body had been kept in the morgue at Wenlock Hospital.  Pandeshwar police registered a case.
