Former BJP leader to join JD(S) soon

Mangalore, Sep 22, 2012 :B. Nagaraj Shetty, former chairman of the Coastal Development Authority, who is making preparations to joint JD(S), told reporters at a press conference held in Mangalore that he regrets some of his previous decisions.

One of the most significant members of the BJP and former district-in-charge minister for DK, Mr. Shetty said that the BJP is today fraught with internal conflicts.

Mr. Shetty, who had once declared that Narendra Modi, chief minister of Gujarath, was his role model and source of inspiration, said that many people have misinterpreted Hindutva. Stating that he will create public awareness on Hindutva, he confirmed that he will join JD(S) with his supporters at a JD(S) program, which is scheduled to be held in Mangalore on September 24.

He also said that he is joining the JD(S) because he is interested in development and social service, adding that he no longer intends to change parties in future.

Ranjit Malli, the entrepreneur, is also making preparations to join JD(S) with Mr. Shetty.
