Mangalore, Dec 4: The Geological Society of India will organize a training camp in earth sciences in Bangalore in May 2010. Four meritorious students will be selected at this training camp to represent India at the 4th International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO), which will be held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from September 19 – 28. 

Students who wish to attend the training camp are first required to answer an entrance test, which will be conducted by the Geological Society of India on January 24.  The students of Class X and Class XI, born between September 15, 1992 and September 15, 1995, are free to apply on condition that they have not participated in any IESO so far.  The syllabus can be obtained at www.ieso2009.tw/home/2a_scient.html.
