Girl stabbed by youth for refusing his love

Udupi, Jun 2, 2013: A 17 year old girl has been admitted to the Ajjarkad Government Hospital with stab injuries after she was  attacked by a love-struck youth who was infuriated when she turned down  his demand to marry him. The incident took place at Ambalpady on June 1, Saturday.

The accused  has been identified as Abdul hailing from Jarkhand. It is learnt, Abdul who noticed the girl along with her brother and uncle go towards a stream for fishing approached her and expressed his love for her.

But, the girl who was studying in a college, refused his love infuriating Abdul who removed a knife from his pocket and stabbed her in the neck. She was immediately rushed to  Ajjarkad Hospital where she is recovering.

It is said Abdul was a tiles worker and was staying a rented house in Sneha’s neighbourhood.

Udupi police have registered a case.
