Golden Palanquin offered to Gurupur Shree Varadaraja Venkatramana Temple

Mangalore, July 13, 2013:  A golden (Naivedya) Palanquin has been  dedicated  to Gurupur Shree  Varadaraja Venkatramana Temple with due blessings of Srimad Sudhindra Theertha Swamiji, Senior Pontiff of Kashi Mutt Samsthan. The temple has a practice of bringing  the idol of Lord Shree Varadaraja Venkatramana in a silver  palanquin  to the Agrasale on Samaradhane Day for the Maha Naivedya. Henceforth, the Golden Palanquin will be used for the purpose.

 

The Golden Palanquin was offered on behalf  of the renowned chartered accountant G Hariram Shenoy family and  Gurupur Shenoy family as Seva in memory of Lakshmi Devi and Gunda alias Damodar Shenoy.

The Temple trustees and  Temple Development Committee members were present on the occasion.
