Govt should be better sensitive to contribution of teachers

Moodbidri, Sep 07, 2016: Presiding over a programme organised by the DPI, Department of Public Instruction and the Zilla Panchayat at Padmavathi Kalyana Mantapa in Moodbidri town to mark Teachers Day, MLA K Abhayachandra Jain said the state government should respond to problems of the teachers.  He said the human resource development in the country owes it to the perseverance, sacrifice and ideologies of teachers.

Zilla Panchayat President Meenakshi Shantigodu inaugurated the programme. Health and Education Standing Chairman President Shahul Hamid was present.

Kunhi Nayak Peruvayi, D Dharnappa Belthangadi, Joyce Henrita Mannagudda, Precy Coelho, Yamuna K Neerkere, Nayana V Rai Tingaladi, Bhavani A G Sullia, Yakoob S, Lakshman Naik, Monappa, Joseph R Alvares and Ramananda Siddakatte were felicitated with the district-level best teacher award.

Last year’s state best teacher award winner Devappa Naik, retired subject inspectors M Narasimha Bhat and A I Khazi, education department first division assistant Krishnappa, retired teachers, schools recording 100 percent results in Moodbidri, teachers who have achieved in various fields and meritorious students were also felicitated on the occasion.

Zilla Panchayat Vice President Kasturi Panja, ZP CEO P I Srividya, Kannada Sahitya Parishat district President Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, Taluk Panchayat member Prashant Amin and Deputy Director Of Public Instructions Walter D’Mello were present on the occasion. MLA K Abhayachandra Jain
