Kundapur, Oct 18, 2013: A group attacked and injured two people alleging to be involved in an illegal buffalo transportation at Kaipady near T T road on October 17, Thursday evening.
The attacked are identified as Basheer (20) and Bathish (30) from Kodi.
Reportedly, a buffalo belonging Monu Saheb which was tied, had escaped from the place and reached Kaipady.
Narasimha Moghaveera, a retired KEB lineman who noticed the buffalo, had tied it to the nearby tree.
Later, Monu Saheb who came along with his two sons Bathish and Basheer in search of their buffalo, found it tied to a tree. When they were trying to take it back, a group attacked them thinking them to transport the buffalo illegally.
Basheer had sustained critical injury while Bathish was left with minor injuries. Both were later admitted to government hospital.
Kundapur police have registered the case.
