Heavy rains disrupt normal life in Kundapur

Kundapur, July 8, 2013 : Normal life continues to remain disrupted in Kundapur with heavy rains continuing to lash various parts of the taluk even on July 7, Sunday.

Water levels in Sowparnika, Varahi rivers have seen a rise and floods have hit hard residents of Navunda, Salchuda, Chikkalli, Badakere, Bijur and other places.

With Sumana river in Bijur flowing above danger mark, people residing  close by the river banks are living amid fears with water surrounding their houses. Agricultural lands and plantations too have been severely affected.
