Belthangady, Dec 23: Civil Judge Sunil Hosamani said that the High Court has ordered wages to be raised from Rs 82 to Rs 100 as per the guidelines of the National Employment Guaranteed Programme.
He said so in his inaugural speech after inaugurating a law awareness programme organized for the presidents of the Panchayat and the secretaries of the National Employment Guaranteed Programme on Dec 21, Monday. He said that many such programmes must be organized at the Panchayat level as and when required.
Ramachandra Gowda, the president of the Taluk Bar Association; Vijaykumar, the president of the Taluk Panchayat; and many others were present at the programme.
